Playtime privacy
Updated October 12, 2026.
What the game stores
Tock’s Playtime stores completed-adventure stars and audio preferences in your browser’s local storage. These settings stay on that browser and are not submitted to a game account. You can reset stars in For grown-ups, or clear this website’s browser data to remove all saved settings.
What the game does not ask for
The game does not require names, email addresses, passwords, a microphone, camera, or location. It contains no advertising and does not upload a child’s answers or voice. Anonymous game totals are described below.
Anonymous play counts
The website counts page visits, game starts, completed discoveries, completed adventures, replays, and the discovery reached when an unfinished game is left. These are combined totals for the author, not profiles of individual children. The counters do not store names, visitor identifiers, IP addresses, answers, voice recordings, or tracking cookies, and do not send data to an outside analytics service. Your saved stars and audio preferences still stay in your browser.
Audio and website requests
Game pictures, music, and recorded instructions load from this website. Narration uses the existing recorded voice clips. Prompts without a matching recording remain visible as text; the game does not use your browser’s speech service. Like other website visits, your hosting service may process ordinary technical request information, such as IP address and browser information. Other website services may have their own data practices; this note describes the Playtime game, not every service on the author website.
Links for grown-ups
Book purchases, Instagram, and other external links lead to separate websites with their own privacy policies. Purchase links sit in the grown-up section, away from game choices.
